SEO Made Simple (Second Edition): Strategies For Dominating The World’s Largest Search Engine
from the desk of: Internet Guru Owen Walcher
How can you tell a guru, and who first implied I should be called an Internet Guru and SEO Expert?
By definition, a guru is defined as a person who is an expert in their area of study. Understanding the root of words, it is defined that a Guru is one who is regarded as having great knowledge, wisdom and authority in a certain area, and who uses it to guide others (teacher). In sanskrit gu is known as darkness & ru is known as light.
Thus, I take you from darkness into the light. another way to say it is I enlighten you about the Internet. My internet background is all encompassing, not just one subsystems like so many self proclaimed experts. And it is with this breadth and depth of knowledge that I promote your business to get your product onto the first page of Google search results, generally for less than you are paying for a yellow pages advertisement.
Time to hire an SEO Expert?
Anyone can tweak your website until the pages are so over tweaked the search engines notice when you change the word bring to take. Still most web masters fall down at the simplest of website tuning items; that of web page titles and file naming standards. We can tweak the titles after the fact, but if your webmaster does not understand on page techniques, they will not use search engine friendly file names. So one way to test your webmaster: look at the file names of your site. Are they described with keywords, and delineated by dashes, NOT under_scores. If you have an understanding of computer languages, you know that spiders parse words_with_underscores as variable parameters, and do not parse the words inside the string, where as words-with-dashes are easily deciphered by even the crudest search engines as strings of contextual words.
